Michigan's governor shows off his budget proposals late this morning. His recommendations to lawmakers are expected to include some sort of tax cut.
He also has said he wants to give a 3-percent increase to the "per-pupil" support for schools, while putting more state money into the financially burdensome teacher pension system.
He also pla ns a 6 percent increase for public universities.
He's expected to propose extra money for road and bridge maintenance.
And Governor Snyder also will recommend spending 14-million dollars more on fighting invasive species, with a bigger staff at the DNR dedicated just to that.
We'll see the Governor's budget proposals at 11 o'clock this morning.
