At least 100 Inches of Snow in Grand Rapids, More in Muskegon

As of Tuesday, midnight, Grand Rapids broke the 100 inch mark as of midnight, and Muskegon gathers more than 120 inches of snow for the season.

The National Weather Service reported a seasonal total of 100.5 inches inland, with 120.3 reported at Muskegon's lakeshore.

For both cities, the daily snowfall total set new records for any February 17th:  Grand Rapids at 5.6 inches broke a record set in 1956, Muskegon's 6.2 inches shattered a record held since 1939.

The snow had not stopped at midnight.  Expect the Weather Service to update the snowfall total sometime a bit later this Tuesday morning.
