For the third year in a row, the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Mackinac Bridge Authority are asking the public to share their Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk experiences on social media with photos and videos.

Today through September 8, you can post your memories of walking the bridge, either this year or a previous year, on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #MightyMacWalk14. Memories also can be posted on M-DOT's Facebook page and can include photos or videos.

One person sharing their memories will be chosen at random to receive a once-in-a-lifetime tour for two to the top of the Mackinac Bridge.

Last year's winner was Rachel Baldwin from the Remus area, while Lisa Hensel from Parker, Colorado won a Pure Michigan prize pack for traveling the furthest to walk the bridge and share her memory with M-DOT.

More details and the official rules of the 2014 Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk social media promotion are on the M-DOT website.
