Holland Township's New Truck Stop Approved by Planning Commission

The Holland Township Planning Commission agrees to allow a new truck stop, on Adams Street, just off the I-196 freeway, but that decision last night upset some neighbors.

They say they were denied any opportunity to voice their opinions, but the Planning Commission Chairman told WOOD TV there was a public hearing last month, and they should have spoken up then.

The proposed Love's Travel Stop will allow overnight parking for 30 big rigs and have a couple restaurants, too, about a year and a half from now.
