A Kentwood man spent months charged with threatening his ex-girlfriend on Facebook before police discovered that Andrew Chandler did not do it.
Chandler was pulled over and arrest last summer, and it took detectives from the city of Wyoming until January to learn they should have arrested another man.
Chandler says someone created a phony Facebook page using his name and picture. Police say Jamal Johnson was the man who made the page and the threat thinking it would help him move in on Chandler's ex.
Wyoming Police Captain Kim Koster tells WOOD TV that Internet users should understand that anything posted can be tracked.
