Magnets Will Not Stick to Future Cars and Trucks

A new study shows that 8 of every 10 new pickup trucks sold in North America, along with many other cars, will have aluminum bodies  by the year 2025. 

The study was conducted by Ducker Worldwide, which is a leading aluminum industry consultant.

It shows Ford, GM and Chrylser will be the world's biggest users of sheet aluminum. 

The Aluminum Association says the metal is lighweight and will contribute to fuel economy.

It's spokoesman answers safety questions by pointing out aluminum has been used in building airplanes for more than half a century.
