A board member at the Kenowa Hills school music boosters was booked Thursday on embezzlement charges, authorities said.
The suspect was identified as 40-year-old Robyn Amy Heintz, a member of the Kenowa Hills Instrumental Music Boosters.
"She was interviewed and confessed to her involvement in the theft and was charged by the Kent County Prosecutor's Office with one count of embezzlement over $100,000," the sheriff's department said.
The sheriff's department said it uncovered "hundreds" of unauthorized transactions through the KHIMB bank account that spanned several years.
Fellow board members notified authorities of suspicious charges and withdrawals from the boosters' bank account in May.
