U.S. Representative Bill Huizenga today filed nominating petitions to be placed on the ballot for re-election as Congressman for Michigan's Second District.
Huizenga delivered signatures to the Secretary of State's office in Lansing Thursday.
"It's been my privilege and honor to serve the people of West Michigan," said Huizenga.
"Working families and small business owners remain concerned about government overreach exemplified in ObamaCare and deficit spending. I'm asking to continue as West Michigan's voice in the debate on the proper size and scope of the federal government and to work towards real solutions to real problems."
Congressman Bill Huizenga was first elected to Congress in 2010 and is serving his second term.
The Second District includes Ottawa, Muskegon, Oceana, Newaygo, Lake and parts of Kent, Mason and Allegan counties.
