The Calhoun County sheriffs office has picked up a new armored four wheel drive vehicle for a song from the federal government.   It will be used as a command post in the event of a natural disaster of some other calamity.

This particular vehicle is seven years old and was designed to survive IED's in Iraq, replacing the Humvee.

In Calhoun County it replaces an ancient ambulance that had been painted black and had more than 300-thousand miles on it.
