The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department accuses two teens of stealing cash and credit cards from vehicles in parking lots at churches and retirement homes, and then using that money and those cards.
Investigators say members of Wellspring Church on Bauer Road saw two people going through vehicles during service last Sunday.
When deputies arrived, those suspects tried to drive away but got stuck in a snowbank.
Deputies caught them and found stolen property with them.
They say the suspects, a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, might be connected to a dozen other recent thefts from vehicles at churches.
The 17-year-old has been arraigned on a charge of illegal use of a financial transaction device and is lodged in the jail on $3,000 bond. Authorities are seeking to file charges against the 16-year-old in juvenile court, and they say more arrests could be possible.
